Celeste Thorson

Celeste Thorson (born July 23, 1984) is an American actress, model, screenwriter, and activist. She is best known for her role as an athletic host in her action TV series, Destination X: Hawaii and Destination X: California. Thorson has written twenty four episodes of television for shows like "Destination X" and "The Industry". As a model she has been featured in modeling and commercial campaigns for Reebok, Lady Foot Locker, Yoplait, Sprint, Nissan Nokia, Samsung, Yahoo!, Body Glove, Toms Shoes, and Paul Mitchell. Thorson was born in Orange County, California, to her mother a fine artist, and father a United States Marine; the two divorced during Thorson's childhood. Her mother is of Lebanese, Spanish and Apache Mescalero Native American descent. Her father was born in South Korea and was adopted as a young child by the Thorson family in Colorado. On her father's side she is of South Korean and Scottish Irish descent. Thorson traveled much of the southwestern United States during grade school and high school, attending a number of private and public schools. Her residence changed often as her family would acquire commercial and residential real estate stretching from Los Angeles and Southern California to New Mexico and Texas. After graduating early from high school, Thorson moved to San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico to continue the three-generation family tradition of attending the historic Instituto Allende. Thorson studied silver working, jewelry making, sculpture and bronze casting at the privately owned classical art institute, which was founded in 1950.

At the age of 17, Thorson returned to the United States and moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue political activism. Despite her father's death in the same year, she found success and fulfillment in non-profit work. Even as one of the youngest members in her office, Thorson quickly rose to the position of the Top Fundraiser in the Nation for the Public Interest Research Group. As a political activist she has worked to support many non-profit organizations such as Save the Children, Human Rights Campaign, Public Interest Research Group, and Sierra Club. She has committed her career to raising awareness and support for charitable causes around the world.At the age of 19 Celeste Thorson was discovered and signed by the Cuttingham Escott Slevin Doughty CESD Talent Agency in Los Angeles as a commercial and actress and model. Working in Los Angeles, New York, Milan, Paris, Cannes, Japan, London, Holland, Thailand, and Korea her modeling and acting work has given her a global presence. Thorson has been the cover girl for numerous magazines around the world and Billboards spanning the United States, Latin America and Asia. Thorson's first television appearances were for two consecutive Sprint commercials directed by Brian Beletic. She joined the Screen Actors Guild as a professional actress and appeared in commercial ads for clients like Lady Foot Locker, Reebok (director Shaun Conrad), Samsung, and Nissan (Believe Media). She also gave a cameo appearance in the Rolling Stones music video, Rain Fall Down, directed by Jonas Akerlund. She was soon recruited as an athletic, action sports star on the adventure TV series Destination X: Hawaii season one and Destination X: California season two. Destination X airs on Direct TV, Dish Network, Comcast and Time Warner Cable on The Resorts & Residence Channel and MavTV. It has broadcast on the Water Channel, MTV2 and in over 60 countries around the world. The first season was filmed on the Hawaiian islands of Oahu, Kauai, and Hawaii where Thorson hosted and participated in various outdoor sports like sky diving, mountain biking, jet skiing, scuba diving, parasailing, swimming with sharks, and rappelling off mountains. Season two was shot throughout Southern California, Mexicali, and Nevada where Thorson did races and did photos shoots with exotic sports cars like the Lotus Elise, Formula One, Bugatti Veyron, Porsche GTI, Bentley's and many others. Desination X California also featured the Willow Springs race track, as well as drifting and racing rallys like the Gumball and Bullrun. With the help of stunt pilots Thorson also did aerobatic maneuvers in the L-39 Albatros fighter jet. While developing her action career she starred in Room Nine a short film about a deadly girl on the run in the desert, directed by Paul Street of Streetlight Films UK and Believe Media. "Room Nine" was filmed in the Salton Sea, California and featured Thorson exploding a pickup truck. The film screened at the ArcLight Hollywood Cinema in Hollywood, California at the Hollywood Film Festival., the Palm Beach International Film Festival in Florida and at the New York Picture Start Film Festival where Thorson was nominated for Best Actress. After a string of dramatic performances in shorts and features like The Billy Armstrong Situation, and Still Breathing, Thorson broke into comedy. Thorson portrayed "Rocker Jill" in the feature film Satin which stars Melissa Joan Hart, Michael Cudlitz, and Robert Guillaume. In the comedic role of "Lisa" Thorson acts alongside Emmy winning actor Neil Patrick Harris and actress Collette Wolfe in the "Zoo or False" episode of How I Met Your Mother. Thorson also performed in a comedic sketch for Jimmy Kimmel Live spoofing Sarah Jessica Parker's perfume "Lovely."

Celeste Thorson has written a total of 24 episodes of television, ten episodes for the travel series "Destination X Hawaii" and one episode for "Destination X California". Thorson also contributed e/i content as a writer for 13 episodes of "The Industry" television show which starred Josh & JB, two San Diego based teen brothers that build a record label and break into the music industry. The show followed the strict Federal Communications Commission (FCC) guidelines for an educational and informative rating and aired throughout the United States on network channels and DirectTV. Celeste Thorson won the Model Star Award for Best Female representing the United States at the Asia Model Festival Awards Video Clip in Seoul, Korea. She traveled to South Korea to accept the award. Japan, Korea, China, the Philippines, Uzbekistan and the United States were all represented in the ceremony, with Award winners like Super Junior, Iza Calzado, Park Min Young, Han Ye Seul, Ju Jihoon, and Celeste Thorson as the popular favorites of Asia. Thorson was nominated along with three others in her category at the Asia Model Festival Awards sponsored by the Republic of Korea's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, China Bentley Culture Development, Arirang TV China Guang Xi TV, Dong-A TV, ETN TV, and China Central Television CCTV.

Thorson attends and draws inspiration from film festivals like Cannes Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Troma Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, Hollywood Film Festival, and the Rome International Film Festival. Thorson was nominate for Best Actress at the Tenth Annual PICTURESTART FILM FESTIVAL in New York city for her short film Room Nine directed by Paul Street.

Nicole Marie Lenz (born January 24, 1980) is an American actress and fashion model. She first became known in the industry by appearing in Playboy as the Playmate of the Month for March 2000. Shortly after she was featured in the November issue of W photographed by Mario Sorrenti that same year and subsequently signed with Elite modeling agency before appearing on the cover of GQ as well as men's magazines Italian Max and Stuff magazine where she was ranked number 94 of the 100 Sexiest Women Of 2007. In August, 2003, Lenz made her silver screen debut in Confidence. Since then, Lenz has appeared in several independent and feature films, including Seeing Other People, Toxic , Kush, and most recently Fanboys. Lenz continued to build upon her entry, doing more print work for Lee Jeans, Paul Mitchell, Airwalk and, Trucco and gracing the cover and editorials of more high fashion magazine's such as Vogue (Italy), Glamour, and Marie Claire. Lenz is known for her Skyy Vodka 2005 ad Campaign shot by David LaChapelle and 2006 Bacardi ad Campaigne shot by Teri Richardson. Lenz has also appeared in several music videos for rock musicians such as Sir Elton John, Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams, and Duran Duran, and she is featured in Chevelle's The Clincher. Lenz appeared in an episode of CSI: NY, "Playing with Matches" in 2008. In June 2004, Lenz was assaulted in a Los Angeles nightclub by Bijou Phillips. The fight was broken up by Matthew Perry who later testified on Lenz' behalf. Phillips pleaded no contest to the criminal charges and Lenz filed a civil suit.

Jason Patric (born June 17, 1966) is an American film, television and stage actor. He may be best-known for his roles in the films The Lost Boys, Sleepers, Your Friends & Neighbors, Narc, The Losers and Speed 2: Cruise Control. His father is the actor/playwright Jason Miller. Patric is the maternal grandson of Jackie Gleason. Patric was born as Jason Patric Miller in Queens, New York, the son of the late Academy Award-nominated actor and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Jason Miller (born John Anthony Miller) and Linda Gleason, daughter of actor/comedian Jackie Gleason. His half-brother is actor Joshua John Miller. Patric is of Irish descent. Growing up in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, he attended the all-boys Salesian Roman Catholic Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, New Jersey, and Saint Monica Catholic High School in Santa Monica, California. He appeared in high school productions of Dracula and Grease. His high school drama classmates included Joely Fisher, Tricia Leigh Fisher and Kristin Vinton, daughter of singer Bobby Vinton. After graduation, he was cast in the television drama Toughlove alongside Bruce Dern, Piper Laurie, Dedee Pfeiffer and Lee Remick. Within a few years, Patric would reunite with Gertz and Dern for The Lost Boys and After Dark, My Sweet, respectively. He would go on shortly afterwards to co-star with George Dzundza and Stephen Baldwin in The Beast. In 1993, he starred alongside Wes Studi and Matt Damon as 1st Lt. Charles B. Gatewood in the movie Geronimo: An American Legend. His scenes in The Thin Red Line were cut before the film's release.

That play (written by Jason Patric's father, Jason Miller) first debuted in 1972, and it won a Pulitzer Prize and Tony award. Jason Patric began dating actress Julia Roberts days after she canceled her wedding to Kiefer Sutherland in June 1991. They dated for two years. Patric then dated supermodel Christy Turlington (1994-2000). They had an on-and-off relationship for six years and kept a low-profile, rarely being seen together in public. Christy eventually ended the relationship when she met her future husband, actor/director Edward Burns at a Hamptons party in the Fall of 2000.In 2004, Patric was arrested on charges of public intoxication and resisting arrest in Austin, Texas, and was involved in a physical confrontation with the arresting officer. Sherry and David separated but remained close friends. Cassidy's paternal grandparents were actors Jack Cassidy and Evelyn Ward. She grew up in Calabasas, California with her mother and stepfather, Richard Benedon, an ER physician. She has two older sisters, Jenna and Jamie. She also has a younger half brother Beau Cassidy. She played Ella Simms, a publicist who works at Amanda Woodward's company. The media has drawn similarities from Cassidy's character and Heather Locklear's character, Amanda. Cassidy also joined the cast of the 2010 remake of the horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street. She played Kris Fowles, friend to lead character Nancy Holbrook (Rooney Mara) and victim of Freddy Krueger. Filming began in Chicago and was released April 30, 2010. Cassidy was nominated for a Teen Choice Award in the "Horror/Thriller Actress" category for her role which she lost to Megan Fox. Cassidy has been cast in the upcoming romantic comedy Monte Carlo which was filmed in in Monaco, Budapest and Paris. In June 2010, Cassidy landed a recurring role as the primary antagonist Juliet Sharp in the fourth season of Gossip Girl. Her character will be a student at Columbia and a love interest for Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford). Her first appearance was in the season 4 premiere and has appeared in 11 episodes to date. In March 2011, Cassidy was cast in a pilot project for ABC called Georgetown. The show is being described as Gossip Girl meets The West Wing. She’ll be playing Nikki, a smart and quick-witted junior staffer in the White House Communications Office with connections to the First Lady. However in May 2011, ABC decided to pass on Georgetown and it did not get picked up. She is a spokesperson for the charity H.E.L.P Malawi. Cassidy is dating Los Angeles Kings player Jarret Stoll.

Evan Taylor Ellingson (born July 1, 1988) is an American actor. Ellingson grew up in La Verne, California with his three older brothers. He guest-starred on MAD TV, and then had a regular role on the Fox sitcom Titus. In 2004, Evan was chosen to play Kyle Savage on the Mel Gibson-produced short-lived sitcom Complete Savages in ABC's TGIF line-up. The show was cancelled after one season. In 2007, Ellingson had a recurring role on the sixth season of TV series 24 as the nephew of Jack Bauer. In the fall of 2007, Ellingson began the role on CBS's CSI: Miami as Kyle Harmon, the long-lost son of Miami-Dade Police Lt. Horatio Caine (David Caruso). This is a sporadically reappearing role. She is best known for playing the children's book heroine Eloise, in two made-for-television movies, Ariel Dubois in the Emmy-winning TV series Medium, and the cancer patient Kate Fitzgerald in the 2009 film adaption of My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. For her work as Eloise she was nominated as Leading Young Actress for Best Performance in a TV Movie, Miniseries or Special for Young Artist Award in 2004. At age 11, in May 2004, Sofia began playing the role of Ariel DuBois in Medium. She was a presenter of Family Feature Film on the Humane Society's 19th Genesis Awards in 2005. She won two Young Artist Award in 2006 for best supporting actress in a TV Drama for her role in Medium and in 2010 for best supporting actress in a feature film for her role in My Sister's Keeper. Sofia had a leading role in the 2009 screen adaption of the novel My Sister's Keeper, written by Jodi Picoult, alongside Cameron Diaz, Jason Patric and Abigail Breslin. The film was directed by Nick Cassavetes. Sofia shaved her head and eyebrows for her role as Kate. She is currently a student at Columbia University in New York City. She speaks fluent Russian, French, English and Spanish.
